Men Fellowships
Doctoral Contracts Financed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research
The VAS Doctoral School receives around 20 of these fellowships.
After obtaining a Masters degree of the equivalent, some doctoral students will be able to take advantage of doctoral contracts. This funding enables students to focus all of their attention on their research and thesis. These contracts are awarded for a period of 3 years. The Ministry awards nearly 4,000 of these contracts every year, which represents around 22% of students in their first year of the doctorate.
The monthly award before taxes (April 2010) for the 12,000 students with this contract was 1.684.93 €. The award can be as much as 2,024.78 €/month if the student takes on other roles in addition to his/her research as part of preparing the doctorate.
The doctoral contracts awarded by VAS Doctoral School are part of the Annual Competitive Admissions Process.
